Bluetooth SAP or rSAP

With my Sony Xperia P I could connect via SAP or rSAP to my car.

Now I have Android 4.3 on Sony Xperia Z1 compact I cannot connect. Only as headset it works.

I know this. But my car doesn't have acces to the phone book. With my Xperia P it works.

I've also compared the setting of both phones. They are equal.

My phone connects well to VW and also transfers phone book records.

But the phone itself does not support SAP protocol. Which is not good of course.

Phone book transfer is done using PBAP - Phone Book Access Protocol

Are there any setting, wich i have to config?

No need to configure anything. But you have to give a permission to access your address book when it's requested after connecting through BT. Better to tick "don't ask again" option when answering.

After Update to Verion 4.4.2 the message to allow access to phonebook was shown. I can now acces the passed calls. But the phone book is empty.

Hi,

I have the same issue with an Opel bluetooth system.

All is working fine with my previous mobile phone, an HTC Desire HD.

Do you think you'll be able to fix the phonebook export issue? It's very annoing...

I have also Z1 compact with Android 4.4.2 and my Volkswagen only supports RSAP. I can't connect to my Mobile at all. The phone will not be found. Do I need a special app or setting? Of course bluetooth is activated.

...just to remember You that nothing changed after recent updates. When I saw the notification of the recent Address book update, it re-rised my hopes, but...

The bluetooth integrated in my car is compliance with a standard, may be old, but it works with many phones (yes, I bought a Z1 Compact thinking it is a phone, before beeing a smartphone). Having access to the address book is, in my opinion, the more important functionality in a BT comunication with a car, and it seems You are ignoring this and Us!
