Bluetooth problems

I got a Xperia Z. Using keyboard when Bluetooth is connected gets very laggy, I use the built in swype keyboard and when I type/swipe a word then it takes up to 10 sec before phone does anything then the whole word at once, same reaction time when using phonebook or direct dial.....but when I turn off my BT then everything is super fast.

I suspected that my MW600 was faulty so I got a new Smart wireless headset pro, same problem....

I have tried turning off/on  Wifi  NO different's, I don't have the power saver Stamina mode on, I have tested everything I have come across online.

Any one with the same problem?

Cheers

Yes, Z use lastest BT technology, but BT like most new technologies(cept those from Apple), are  always backward compatible. I have no problem sending files via BT to my gf's Note II. And my Macbook Pro I bought in 2010 have no problem connecting to Z. hmmm....

PS: Techies have a motto they stick too, "If you can't solve a problem, make it sound complicated to confuse the users". I'm just saying. Smiling_Face_with_open_mouth_&_closed_Eyes

I think you hit the nail on the head there at least when it comes to techies.... I told him that the phone works with my 10 year old Ericsson Bluetooth in the car.... He ignored that one Thinking_Face

It still have the same problem with that one as well.

I will send the phone to them next week..... Hope it goes well.

I have a BT issue with my BMW E60 (2004). I can make the 1th call but i don't have audio in the car. Then, my connection goes down. I thought new protocols included old ones. All the phones I had worked perfecly in my car. Hope Sony can fix this soon.

Boss,

do you have problem connecting to other BT devices?

i know that there're software updates for your car model affecting BT(saw it in some forum just now), but i'm not sure you can update by yourself. is it possible to get the car dealer to update it for u?

Thanks Zann.H. My last phone was a Nokia E5 (android). Never had problems with other phones. I have the last firmware for my BMW I-drive. This is a problem that Sony or Android must fix, not BMW!

Boss,

If you tell me that your car is 3 years old and it can't connect to the latest phone and tech, i can undertand. but you car is almost 10 years old. obviously, any new technology is not gonna be 100% compatible. that's y they have sofware upgrade for iDriive. and the fact that the software upgrade is already available and you refuse to get it done, i really can't undertand. at this rate, not only the Z, but any new tech using latest BT, won't be able to connect to your car system. and you're gonna blame it on all these new tech?  please be reasonable.

any devices that uses new technology, does not have to support older technlogies. especially if they're almost 10 years outdated.

OK! I found a kind of solution for my BMW. Tur on BT in the Z only after initialize the i-drive (ignition). Works prefecly (incoming or outcoming calls & contacts) Not 100% but works! In any case I hope the next android 4.2 can fix that... Zann.H I am not convinced!
