Hello,
after the Update to Android 4 I can not pair my Arc s with Toyota Avensis Bluetooth (2010). With the old Android 2.3.4 everything works fine. After searching the Toyota Bluetooth Kit and I try to Connect I get a message "FAILURE" from the Toyota Bluetooth Kit. I try to repair the Phone with Companion but the problem is still the same. I can not connect the Arc S with the Bluetoot Kit.
Sony Support doesn't know the Problem. Has anybody these Bluetooth isue too? Does anybody know how I can solve the Problem?
Thanks for your Help
I just got back from a long vacation and I have started to dig into this again.
And it seems that some progress has been made.
A new software is on it's way out for Xperia 2011 phones (4.1.B.0.587) which we hope will solve the pairing issue that many of you are experiencing with your Bluetooth car kits.
And I would also like to know how many of you that still experiencing problems with dropping network when screen goes off after installing this update.
I do not have any timeline when all you will receive this update but it has started to roll out gradually so you should receive it soon.
Please do the given solution it Works...
I recently applied the same.
The Workaround:
1) Turn on bluetooth on your smartphone and open a contact card.
2) Start the pairing of hands-free of the car.
3) When the blue & me asks for the code, send the contact via Bluetooth: The phone searches for other devices. Selecting "Blue & Me", you have the opportunity to enter the code presented on the dashboard.
4) Now Blue & Me will ask you to copy the address book: Select "Yes".
5) In the notification bar of smartphone is prompted to connect bluetooth: select "do not ask for more" and accept the request.
Now the blue & me work like with gingerbread.
After updating to Android 4.1.B.0.431 the Xperia arc S prompts for a matching number to pair with the bluetooth car kit (Ford Fiesta).
It took Sony more than two months to fix the bug with the missing input field for the bluetooth pairing number but finally it works!
Yes, it works. Thanks.

Re: Bluetooth Problems ARC S Android 4
This is how I did it.
1. Create a contact called bluetooth.
2. Turn on ignition.
3. With my phone, went to contacts, clicked on bluetooth contact, send contact via bluetooth.
4. Found Ford Audio, clicked and the code function popped up on my phone.
I have Sony Ericsson Arc S LT18i model.
Recently for first time I switched on bluetooth and it went into boot-start loop (Only can see Sony and Xperia on screen). How can I go into my phone now.
It contain important contacts which i need desperately. Any suggestions to go into recovery mode and close bluetooth.
I am ok not to use bluetooth in future but desperately want my phone to turn ON.
Any help will be highly appreciated.
