I have paired my Xperia SP with the Bluetooth system in my Honda civic. Everything on both the 'phone and the car shows that the connection has been made. When turning on the engine I get a meesage on the car's screen telling me that the phone is connected and an audible beep from the 'phone - just as I did with my old Samsung. The only problem is that I now get the message and the beep every thirty seconds whilst i'm driving along - CAN ANYONE HELP WITH THIS, PLEASE.
Well, it's hard to say where the problem is really. First of all you should check with the car system manufacturer to see if the phone is compatible. Xperia SP (C5303) supports the following bluetooth profiles:
Advanced Audio Distribution Profile v1.2
Audio/Video Remote Control Profile v1.0
Handsfree Profile v1.6 (Wide band speech)
Headset Profile v1.1
Object Push Profile v1.1
Phonebook Access Profile v1.0
Message Access Profile
Host Interface Device Profile
Health Device Profile 1.1
Generic Attribute Profile Client/Server over LE
Proximity Monitor Profile over LE

Hi, I have a similar problem, i have just purchased an xperia SP and cannot get it to pair with my Sony cd player, it's a MEX-BT2900 player. when I search for devices on my xperia SP phone I don't see the Sony cd player listed. My Iphone 4 pairs perfectly well with the cd player, what could be the problem?
thanks, Phil.
I’m not overly familiar with the player, however some devices can only be paired to one phone at a time so it would be worth resetting the device and ensuring it is in paring mode before trying to reconnect.

I have a Xperia SP too, and I'm experiencing problems with bluetooth. I've paired succesfully to my handsfree car's device, and it appears my phnebook and last calls, fine, and I also can dial from the device, but there happens two problems:
1 - the sound always go from the cellphone, never from the handsfree. I know it's possible to change it from the phone, but no matter how I do it doesn't change. Awkward: It worked for once.
2 - I can´t use the handsfree's keypad when the call is ongoing. I mean: the keypad worked for dialing, but the cellphone doesn't receive those after it.
Rem: My handsfree is working properly, I had a motorola Defy before, and I tested it with a friend of mine's Xperia S. Everithing is working fine for both.
Please help me with that. Thanks.
hello: just bought a xperia sp. I own a bmw 525, 2006. previously, the car was able to pair succesfully to different cell phones (galaxy s3, iphone 4, iphone 5), connection very easy. the xperia sp doesn't even detect my car's bluetooth .I think the poblem is not android os (pair to samsung galaxy before), this is a sony problem.
do you think updating to android 4.3 will correct this poblem?
I dont want to return my phone, I like it very much, but bluetooth connection to my car is very important to me.
Thanks
I have a Sony Xperia SP handset with Android version 4.3. I have purchased a Nokia BH-112 U bluetooth. It is able to pair and connect successfully. However, during conversation via bluetooth, the caller is getting an echo of his own sound. Does anyone else also facing a similar issue? Can someone please help me find a solution to this problem?
