Bluetooth issue

Hi All,

I just bought Xperia X10 mini pro (android 1.6). Trying to transfer a file from laptop to mobile. Both devices detect each other but file transfer from laptop to mobile fails. Do we need to any changes before using bluetooth first??

Thanks

Thanks Kannan And Suze....I downloaded the Bluetooth app and now I can transfer the files from my phone to laptop (goes to default bluetooth folder) ...but unable to do it the other way.

Kindly suggest how can I transfer file from laptop to X10 mini pro through bluetooth.

You cannot transfer files directly from your laptop to your phone. Use the phone to explore and copy files from your PC. Here is how it can be done:

Transfering files from your laptop to you Xperia via bluetooth

1. Install Blue Tooth File Transfer Software.

2. Copy the files that has to be copied from the laptop to the bluetooth sharing folder of your laptop.

3. Now run the Blue Tooth File Transfer Software on Xperia.

4. Take the remote files tab.

5. Select your laptop from the list.

6. The files you have copied in the laptops bluetooth sharing folder will be listed.

7. Select the files by checking the check boxes.

8. Now click the menu (four square) button and click edit.

9. Select copy/cut from there.

10. Now take the Local Files Tab

11. Take the location where you have to paste the files

12. Now click the menu (four square) button and click edit.

13. Select paste from the list.

Sorry, Im a new user of X10 mini, and Im a Mac user, I download the "bluetooth transfer file" from market, I can send file from my mini but not receive!

Now I need to know where can I save my file into that "bluetooth sharing folder" as you mention, inorder to transfer files to my mini,

I just couldn't go on the next step before I can save my file first,  I have no idea where to save my transfer file to, any help??

Hello friend,
I am not that well versed with Mac, in fact I haven't even used it. But I can suggest you something. If you have got another bluetooth device other than Xperia, try to send a file to your mac from that device. The default location where you receive the file on your mac is the bluetooth exchange folder. Transfer files to be shared with Xperia to this folder and use Blue Tooth File Transfer software to access it and copy paste it to your phones SD card.
Please inform whether this helped or not.
