Hello,
when I try to connect my xperia s with my window 7 computer the related bluetooth driver is not found.
In device manager a device called "Bluetooth-Peripheriegerät" (bluetooth-peripheral device) is shown as not configured.
Where to find the related driver - help needed!
Bluetooth in general on the computer works fine, e.g. with my samsung galaxy s.
Thanks
Kallewirsch
This driver isn't anything from us, it's a standard bluetooth driver which needs to be provided by the bluetooth chip-manufacturer. Just check for new bluetooth drivers from the manufacturer and it should be found. But as far as I know these drivers aren't even required to get the bluetooth connection up.
Hi Samuel,
courious, I have now tested it on two computers with the same result.
I doubt they have the same chip manufacturer.
Windows update does not provide them - which is courious enough.
How to get closer to the solution?
If I recall correctly Microsoft stopped providing these drivers themselves since Windows Vista. That's why Windows Update won't give you drivers for this.

If you check device manager on your computer and select bluetooth, it usually shows which BT-chip used in the computer. Go to the manufacturers homepage and download drivers.
Hi Samuel,
I will try.
I have had a look at the drivers download page of lenovo for my ultrabook. The bluetooth drivers are from 2012.
They are for sure installed.
The device manufacturer is broadcom (who else).
I doubt I will find there something.
shit! - to be honest.
I wish I had some better solution for you, but unfortunately I can't do much else but refer you to broadcom.
Hi Samuel,
i installed the broadcom bluetooth software.
No success. Devices are still not identified.
If all drivers etc are installed then it's possible depending on software variation that you need to tell your Pc or Laptop to prepare for a file transfer normally by going into setting and clicking on receive file then your phone may then see your Pc etc if it's the other way round you have to go into your phones bluetooth settings and make your phone Discoverable then on your Pc choose the option to send a file which then scans for other bluetooth devices and because your phone is open to been scanned should be picked up
Like I said this is software dependant
