You could try running a software repair on your handset to see if that helps. If it doesn't help I would then advise contacting Sony Xperia Customer Care in your region as it may need to be assessed by a repair agent - you can find contact details for the team in your region by clicking the link in my signature.
To run a software repair you just need access to a computer with an internet connection. Please note a software repair will delete user data however you can do a back up before running the repair.
First you need to download PC Companion if you have a PC or Bridge for Mac for apple users.
Back up using PC Companion
1. Go to Support to install PC Companion on a Windows
computer.
2. When installed, start PC Companion on the computer.
3. Connect your phone to the computer using a USB cable.
4. Click Start under Backup & Restore.
5. Follow the on-screen instructions
Back up using Bridge for Mac
1. Connect your phone to your Mac
2. Click Back up your Xperia Device under Manage Media
2. Follow the on-screen isntructions
Running the software repair:
(Please ensure your phone is powered off and not connected
to the PC when you begin this process. You are not
required to connect the phone until after step 10.)
1. Install and open PC Companion/Bridge for Mac then select Support Zone (PC) or Click Xperia at the top of the Bridge for Mac program and then Repair my Xperia Device. For Mac users - follow the on screen instructions. If using a PC follow the steps
below:
2. Phone Software Update.
3. Start.
4. Repair Phone
5. Continue
6. Accept data removal
7. Next
8. Wait for prepare
9. Select Phone
10. Follow the connection steps
may i knw how much time does it takes to back up everything ... my phone conisist of 500 mb free space....and from when the step 2 of back up is going on...ie preparation ...
it seems its dint help me ....
