Ok so my Xperia X10 wont charge, if I try turn it on I get 3 red blinking LED meaning the battery is flat.
I try charge the phone but nothing happens, the phone stays dead which is irritating because I really need to use my phone ASAP for important calls/messages and it is making me angry!
Things I've tried to get this phone to charge:
BOUGHT a new charger - £10 , different chargers are not an issue because my dad's Samsung Galaxy can charge perfectly with both the standard charger that came with X10 and the new charger I bought. FAIL
CHARGE via USB in laptop, does not work. FAIL
Many methods including, taking out battery multiple times, waiting 5mins with battery out and trying again, charging overnight. ALL FAILS
There is only one thing I have not tried is to get a new battery but, looking on the recent discussions other people who bought new batteries have the same issues regarding the failure of this phone to charge. It may work but the price of my battery is at £40 and I am not spending that much on a battery: http://www.sonyericsson.com/cws/products/accessories/overview/bst-41?cc=gb&lc=en
This is the exact same as the one I have. I love my sony XPERIA X10 and I really want to continue on using this phone!
I have stuck with Sony Ericsson phones since the beginning and I want to continue using their products... but if I can't get this phone to work I may have to buy a iPhone.
PLEASE HELP ME 😞
right now it could be either
1) the battery
2) the USB connector
3) the motherboard
you should contact SE repair center
it should be covered by the warranty
I am having similar issues - my charger port has been repaired twice already - i've only had the phone 18 months, and i have had too many issues with it. I am very careful with the charger port because it seems to be so frail and yet it seems to now be broken again - i get the flashing red led of death when i try to turn on my phone and the micro usb does not seem to fit correctly into the port all of a sudden. the last time this happend i could visibily see a loose prong and so sent it to my network for repair, they however just updated the software so when i got it back i had to retrn it again straight away - i was 6 weeks in total without my x10, at this stage my contract is finished and i was considering moving to the xperia ray, i cannot affor to get the port fixed again just for it to brake another time, but will the ray have the same problem? or will my x10 be covered since it is the same problem again - although this time i can't see a visible loose prong. not sure if any of this will make sense
