Battery Test

Just out of boredom(I was travelling alone), I thought I'll test out how my phone fares through a regular usage day.

Here goes

First Section[Network is on "Roaming mode", more consumption obviously]

Starts at 13:00 IST- Battery charged to 100%, Brightness is set above 50%, White magic : off.

Music- Heard roughly 5.5 hours of music [Bus journey] Volume at about 80%

Games- Drag Racing 15 mins, MIB3- 20 mins.

Videos-7 min, HD movie snippet.

Calls : 11 Average time per call : 4:50 minutes

Messages sent: 81

Network changes to non-roaming[night]

Messages-77

Games- Basketball hoop-20mins

Calls-3 Avg:6:00 minutes.

Videos-NIL

Music [Sleep playlist] - 23 mins

Overnight, mobile locked.

Charge left at 15% by 15:00 IST NEXT DAY.

As I write this post, I'm charging my phone.

Is this battery life, good or bad?

You mean Mobile Bravia off,i don't think there is a way you can disable white magic,and you shouldn't because sony said it saves battery.I thinks it is a good battery life,you managed to get more than 1 day with it.

You cannot 'switch off' whitemagic display because it's a hardware feature. I guess you meant 'Mobile Bravia Engine'.

I think you disabled data all the time.

IMO, the battery backup you get is good.

How is it possible man? If i hear music for 5.5 hours,play games for 35 minutes & see video for 7 minutes my battery left will be around 10%.Are you talking about motorola razr maxx because only it can survive in that much use.I think sony accidentally put 3300 mah battery in your sony xperia p.LOL!!!

Whitemagic = "Adapt to lighting conditions".

It can be checked on or off, using "Brightness" settings.

Also, Bravia Engine was off :]
