There is no 4.4 for SP,I guess you are talking about 4.3.

Unless you are rooted with a custom 4.4 rom

No 4.4 update is available for SP. No solution for overheating. May be  akitkat update will solve this problem along with many other problems.

Thats an unofficial 4.4 rom.
