Hi, Im from india and i bought this Xperia S queit some 5 days back. I am facing this battery getting overheated and also its getting drained fast. Even for a regular usage its not as expected. Can anyone suggest what can be done to get this corrected and repaired.
Hey there..
Any app(s) installed on your mobile ?
You are on which build number ?
Yes i have many apps installed in it. But even while i watch movies for some 10 to 20 mins continously its getting heated and im able to feel the temp in the back panel. I checked and its 6.0.A.3.62 my build number.
This issue has been fixed in 0.73 and you are on 0.63
Hopes you get it soon
Heating of mobile is normal, however if it gets tooo hot to hold it comfortably then you must get it checked at service center.
I advice you to try a software repair and observe your mobile thereafter without installing any app ( not even a single app)

Backup everything as it will erase all data on phone (sms, contacts, apps)
Update/Repair your phone via PCC or SUS
PCC (PC COMPANION) – Repair your software with this .First do the setup without connecting your mobile to pc.(only connect when you are asked to).
Do it as follow >> PCC > SUPPORT ZONE> SOFTWARE UPDATE> REPAIR SOFTWARE (written with blue)

Thanks Nabeel for the reply. So how about my applications, do u have any suggestions or how to options for a back up of them. I found myself to be bit of uncomfortable to keep working with my phone due to overheating. Will go for the software update..
Hi Nabeel,
I posted the same question few days back and the Support asked me to check the temp.
I took few screenshots, I am attaching one of them.
Is this normal, I dont think 46 degrees is normal.
I am on .62 firmware.
Thanks
Sandeep
Yes its normal, 70-80 * C is maximum
Although it shouldn't reag above 50-55
