Battery LED notification fault

In my Xperia P, after it reaches 100% while charging, I do remove the charger but the green LED light glows even after that and it is not getting turned off. But when i put back the charger to the charger port without turning it on, it stops glowing. Is this any hardware fault or a software error? Please help me!

It happens to me also,but only sometimes after i remove the charger.I just turn on the screen and the led goes off.

You could check if the same problem remains after reinstalling the phone software.

If yes, the problem is probably not software related and this phone needs to be examined at an repair center.

Can I rectify the problem by reinstalling the Android ICS?
