Battery flap working itself loose

As the title states really - my battery flap quite frequently works itself loose and is therefore not providing waterproof protection. The little white indication underneath looks a very pale shade on pink on (well half of it), so it's obviously come into contact with some moisture already but the phone itself is working perfectly.

That said, if the phone does become permenantly water damaged, I'm not covered by warranty and I don't fancy being £500+ out of pocket because of one little flap's inability to remain where it should.

Any advice from Sony or anyone else about how to rectify this?

Appreciate the link but they don't seem to stock the battery flap replacement.

Regardless, I don't see why I should be taking apart a 2 month old phone to fit a replacement part.

the first thing I did with this phone was buy the dock - it should have been included with the phone like the ARCO S

The reason was simple - the flap that gets opened and closed the most is the USB port - in fact open it and leave it open until you feel the need to shut it

you could try contacting that company and ask when they will have it in stock

as for replacing it - Sony would say wear and tear I'd say 50/50 so early but you also need to consider that you may have damaged it  - not my argument

fitting a new tab does not require taking the phone apart, I believe you could ask the comapny for instructions but I think careful disconnection leaving the plastic tie and precise dap of glue will effect the job

My USB door just opens by itself after only 2 weeks of recharging.  And I'm extremely gentle with my stuff, this is just farked.

Where are the spare parts Sony?  You should include 3-4 of these in the box especially when a phone is supposed to at least outlast its 12 month warranty.....

So, do I go back to where I bought the phone and demand a replacment handset just because of a faulty USB door every time? I mean WTF?

What's the solution to this issue because for sure it will happen to everyone who has this handset eventually.

Wait, what?  so I charge my phone and leave the door open until I charge it the at the end of the day so as to minimse "wear and tear" that is classed as "normally operating the phone" as it should  be?

Sony obviously designed it to be recharged every day, if not they should have put a BIGGER battery in it!  so this is just stupid IMO..
