Hello I upgraded my phone to JB and made factory data reset and after that my battery drains in 4 hours (90% of that time telephone was in sleep mode)
My friend, i could not agree more with you. Same problems with the battery here as well, ICS was much more stable, stamina mode does not seem to work (while the ICS extended battery mode was much better) and what is with this stupid white background in calls and messages? Not only I dont like it, as known white background drains battery faster. And I think ICS was much smoother, I am thinking of sending it back to sony to downgrade to ICS again.
SONY, ARE YOU LISTENING? WE NEED AN UPGRADE TO FIX THESE 2 THINGS I JUST MENTIONED. OR YOU WILL AGAIN FOLLOW YOUR POLICY AND FORGET US, THE OLD CUSTOMERS LIKE YOU DID WITH MY XPERIA X10 MINI PRO, MY XPERIA MINI PRO AND ARC S?
Exactly the same problems and situation as mithun_xperiap here.
I only check if someone wrote me in my IM, check for messages, configure some stuff and bam, its down to 95%.
As I said before in another thread, the phone, even in very trivial things (like just looking at the configuration and setting up my home screen) gets warm very quickly now. I suspect something is using a lot of CPU power, which did not before in ICS. Maybe they increased CPU usage for animations, since they look a lot smoother now. I dont know, but its not acceptable this way.
dude how many hours can your phone last in a day?
my friend FLORENZGONZALES, have u noticed that u r the only one that keeps supporting sony while all the others have issues with our phones??
hahaha umm its not that bro..i just love using it..im having troubles with battery thats the truth..but being in this forum meeting others and seeing their problems just make me feel more excited.im a big sony user/fan. since the first day i had Xperia X1 and Xperia X8 they had all craps and issues but come to think man, i bought xperia P we bought it, we loved it, it has some issues other brands had issues and even worse. but instead of screaming about all that issues, i thought why not just help each other. we all know sony wont listen to us,thats proven, but we have xperia P,they got what they want to sell their products. and still even having this issues with jellybean look where we are guys..we're still using the same phone and somehow still enjoying with its great features. im not an expert guy when it comes to andrioid phones but im trying to help.even sometimes i know im saying the wrong things. but thats all we can do. im a fan, im having problems with my phone too totally a lot, but to cry for it with all the issues? nah i dont think so. i think this forum has a lot of those.i know you guys wont understand but lets just help each other here.
@ florenzgonzales dude the problem is not all ppl are as patient as we are nor do they root their device to rectify the problem and this thing makes them frustrared &even i was untill i rooted my device. WE PAYED SONY OUR HARD EARNED MONEY AND THESE ISSUES SHOULD BE RECTIFIED BY THE SONY DEVELOPERS RATHER THAN USERS SCAVENGING THE XDA FOR SOLUTIONS.
Bottomline i have to say Xperia P is a very gud device @ a very gud price(wrt to featues) but with all the problems it has given to all users its not worth the buy.
and yes dude every one appriciates ur effort that u take to help out ppl even i try my best to do that but by the end of it they have all the right to be frustrated
Hahaha
I think the solution to the battery issue is battery Calibration. As i would like to share my exp with u guys i calibrated my battery(Since i am rooted) and now i guess the performace is increasing gradually. still need another full recharge discharge cycles.
Plz try this out and see if it helps: (Non Rooted Phones)
1) Once u Done with the JB installation Reeboot and keep ur phone aside for say 10 mins(Stop playing with it as soon as it reboots) DO NOT DO A THING LET THE PHONE SETTLE DOWN AND PREFERABLEY DO A FACTORY RESET
2)Once thats done charge ur device to 100% (Check ur charge not by the % indicator but thru the graph.) once it shows 100% reebot your device and i assume it would show 99% or yes its can even show u a much lower % after u reeboot.
3)Again Charge it for say 30 mins let it charge like say 15 mins even after it shows 100%.
4)Use your phone normally as u always do and make sure u drain it completely.(DO NOT RECHARGE IT IN BETWEEN)
5)RECHARGE IT COMPLETELY TO 100% NONSTOP !!
Repeat steps 4 and 5 atleast Thrice(4 charge discharge cycles prefered) and i hope it would help u get optimum performance out of your battery.
Thumbs for you dude florenz!! d($.$)b Hahahaha lol at "im not an expert guy when it comes to andrioid phones but im trying to help.even sometimes i know im saying the wrong things." Hahahaha but you're right. Having friends in some forums that will help you if you have problem, that's great! And hopefully we'll become more active!
that's a great message florenz , I'm a long time Sony Fan too, Since Playstation one, Sont T.V. then purchasing my first Sony phone , the SE K550i then Xperia P(also supporting Bravia TV's and vaio laptops), well I'm having also the Battery issue When I'm using it heavily, since I'm a Light user, my Phone REALLY lasts a day or 2.
