Battery Draining Too Fast

Hi,

Recently I have observing that the battery is draining too fast even when the phone is not in use and the PHONE IS getting HOT VERY HOT...

what should be dont...

My phone has a similar problem.. Display is eating up 43% of the battery, undrr normal usage ( whatsapp) battery drains about 1% almost every 2 mins. Do I take my phone to Sony service center? Will that be helpful?

drain from your display is normal when it's on full hd display so try lower your display brightness and disable services that is not used like mobile data, wifi, gps, nfc and so to lower usage a bit since all that can eat your battery usage faster to.

Close all running programs but if u use stamina mode, applications that use internet wnt work thereby can save some juice

its all turned off.. but do you think losing 1% in almost every 2 mins is ok? still running on 4.1 JB

use it for a while then post a screenshot of the battery usage - take it down to about 50%

there are several functions of mobile phones that are best used with a power souce, this hasn't changed for years and with a modern smart phone battery drain has increased with a number of additional demands

GPS - always has always will drain the battery fast

Constantly Syncing data on high speed network

1080 HD screen - huge drain

Quad cpu

High end graphic games - CPU and screen drain

any use of the above items will drain your battery fast - 5hrs max

Looking at your Usage stats, i personally feel its pretty good. 4.2.2 can give up to 13 hrs usage with normal use. i am happy with battery life. data always on, occassionally wifi like an hour or so, music for some 1 and half hour, game for an hour, calling texting, fb, whatsapp, always on, Stamina mode is actually working in 4.2.2.
