Battery Drain

Hi all, I upgraded to ICS a few weeks ago and have noticed that my battery is draining really quickly!

Anything I can do to resolve this? When I exit out of an app, it still seems to stay open in the background so I'm guessing this is why the battery is draining?

Use extended standby mode. Dim your screen. Let the battery run right down and recharge to max a few times.

I also experienced excessive battery drain, battery lifetime <2 days though GPS, WLAN, Data and all apps switched off. Problem could be successfully resolved by hard reset, e.g. battery removed and replaced again. Afterwards battery drain turned to normal approx 12%/day.
