Hi everyone. I have SE Xperia Arc LT15i phone with OS Android 2.3.2. After the Google Maps has been updated from market, the battery's % of charge began to come to an end very quickly, about 20 % during a hour and a half. Before this update i didn't have this problem. I just uninstall the latest update of Google Maps and restart the phone, and battey discharge became normally again. This trouble is not only for me, also the most users of Xperia Arc from 4pda.ru have the same issue. I sent this letter to Google's support too, and waiting for an answer with impatience. With best regards, Joe. www.4pda.ru
Because some say these updates should be in a few days- week, maybe a lil' bit more
Did your hear sth about it?
Just what Rikard said on the official forum

"...in a coming software update to the Xperia™ arc and Xperia™ PLAY that in most markets will start to roll-out already now during Q2."

Thanks,
I hope that these abovementioned updates will be available very soon
I hope so too
I hope that SE is also aware that first they should aware "real" Arc problems, then implement facebook stuff.
The best way to find what if any one application/function is causing this issue is to do the following:
Main Menu > Settings > About Phone > Battery Use > Let us know what the top three names/percentages are.
True, but the apps for the most part come with fancy high tech graphs 😛
My battery life was terrible the first week, after that I did a hard reset and then it became pretty good.
I installed the battery widget and normally it says something between 2mA and 5mA.
After I take it of the charger it stays on 100% charge for 2 - 4 hours and after that it uses about 1% an hour.
But today I took i af the charger and the first 3 hours it stayed on 100%, but then it used 12% in 1,5 hours...
When in standby it was still using 40mA, this was after I started watching the gallery and making a few pic's with the camera.
after 2 reboots the usage went to about 5 mA again.
When I check the battery info the top 3 users are
Display 45% (time on 45 min.)
cell standby 19% (time on 11h 12m)
Phone idlde 17% (time on 10h 27m)
The battery info widget says 80% battery left.
I did connect it to my iMac for about 2 hours, so the usage is a bit to positive.
But I don't understand that 45 min screen usage can be 45% of the total usage, it seems to me that something els is using the battery, or the battery indication is not really accurate..
I really hope the coming update (hopefully coming soon) changes these strange isues of the phone..
To be honest if you have had the screen out of standby for 45 mins this will have a big impact on your battery life.
Display 1 hour 37 min (27%)
Stand by 1 day, 17 hours, 29 min ((22%)
Inactive 1 day, 15 hours, 49 minutes (21%)
Again, even if I let the display off the whole time, the battery usage can suddely fligh skyhigh. Battery Monitor keeps monitoring the discharge rate.
Ever since the hard reset I've rebooted it once (yesterday). It looks like a reboot per day makes a bit of difference.
Having said that, I'm practically not using the Arc as you are supposed to be able to do with a smartphone. It seems that the more you use it, the faster the bug can come into play.
