Battery drain issue

Hi everyone. I have SE Xperia Arc LT15i phone with OS Android 2.3.2. After the Google Maps has been updated from market, the battery's % of charge began to come to an end very quickly, about 20 % during a hour and a half. Before this update i didn't have this problem. I just uninstall the latest update of Google Maps and restart the phone, and battey discharge became normally again. This trouble is not only for me, also the most users of Xperia Arc from 4pda.ru have the same issue. I sent this letter to Google's support too, and waiting for an answer with impatience. With best regards, Joe.                 www.4pda.ru

I've had this problem and a reset has helped me though (did tons of stuff before that). I can only hope it stays this way, and understand if it's not a solution to everyone's problem. If you haven't tried resetting the phone, please do so, it makes a HUGE(!) difference. (in my case)

Phone reset is a solution, but it shouldn't be!! It is funny when you have reboot your phone if you'd like to have your battery live longer! Where is soft update?? :smileyconfused::smileyangry:

Shouldn't airplanemode kill all connections? It could be a lazy, bad coded app which keeps on trying ... or maybe some WiFi stuttering in between... That hasn't been resolved aswell...

My batterydrain has started again btw since I've setup a facebook+hyves(dutch social media)+ebuddy.

I've killed Facebook... keeping you updated.

Edit: tried it all -> not getting better. A reboot did the trick... this is getting really annoying.

Edit2: reboot worked temporarily: switching off wifi worked better... maybe the wifi issue is causing the drain, not an app.. who knows (SE I hope :smileywink:)
