Battery Charging very slow on xperia Z3 lollipop

Hi

I have recently upgraded to Lollipop and earlier the 100% battery charging used to take roughly 2 hours on kitkat but now after the upgrade it is taking roughly 4 hours. I am using the same 2.1 amp original sony charger and it is really annoying when it takes so much time.

Pls fix this bug very very urgently.

4 hours from 0% to 100% with the device on is about normal.

Not sure what original sony charger you have with 2.1 amps. As far as I know,the sony chargers have 1.5. Could you provide the details about it?

Same problem. The thing is have z3 tablet compact. Ive discharged both my phone and tablet. My tablet was charged at 100% when my phone was 82%. With kitkat my phone was charging faster. I don't understand how a software update could effect tge changing time

I've not bothered to time it as i usually charge overnight but i suspect  stamina mode slows down charging.

Hi Guys,

I'm not sure if you guys have use a high amp charger before anything that more then 2.0 for overtime. Ofcause that will help to boost the charging speed, but overtime or prolong usage may affect the battery performance.

The next time when you switch back to a lower amp charger, it will charges much slower compare to when your using the 1.5amp charger regularly such as a original sony charger which mine rated as 1.5amp model is EP880.

Hope this input may help to answer a little.

Both my devices were off while charging because they fully discharged so no the stamina mode isnt the problem.

Software is used to manage to charging.

Thanks for your inputs. Actually what you said is right. Sony gave only 1.5 Amps charger but then I purchased another charger of Sony which is 2.1 amps. Its available on ebay in India. When I purchased 2.1 as a spare I thought orgiinal was also 2.1 amps. Anyways thanks for the clarirfication.

Charging time for Z3 Compact is around 2.4 hours. for 2600 mah bettery and where as Z3 (regular) has 3100 mah. So if we take the ratio it should still take roughly around 3 hours. Not sure why mine is taking 4 hours using 1.5 amp charger (original).
