I'm on Z1 kitkat and rooted and normally I keep device adminstrators checked limited to sony's (enterprise service and my Xperia) and my anti theft (avast) but recently I installed hexlock and wanted to test it once I granted it admin rights I can't revoke and uncheck. I can't deactivate any of them not just hexlock however I was able to activate android device manager but I can't deactivate it neither afterward.
now phone lags and google play services drains battery superfast (due to one or more culprit app or many apps with admin rights using the services)
phone lags and is unresponsive. deactivation is not greyed out but when I click on it nothing happens. this is also true for other apps too like hangout (even sms can't go thruogh or arrives one at a time only after a each reboot-wierd!) and even toggling wifi is slow and unresponsive. I tried in safemode.tried to brute force uninstall via adb shell but there is a problem which I get there in a minute. the only way remains is factory resetting but I face the same issue when backing up before reset no matter it's via android backup and restore, titanum backup or pc companion.
this malfuntions even affects my smartwatch 2 and blutooth handsfree(constantly disconnecting or noise disturbances or apps on watch not working)
the issue is phones internal memory freeze or stuck or something. when I run adb shell su find to find an app and trying to delete it, it takes forever, when I try backing up using apps on android it stuck on some point the same happens with pc companion. in safemode it goes a little furthur but ultimately stops. it's clear that it freeze or got in loop or something when some app or pc is going through the internal memory for finding or backing up.
is there any way to back up the data and avoid this problem? cuz clearly factory resseting is the only way to fix things up! 😐
any advice regarding backing up or unistalling hexlock or deactivating admin apps is appreciated
