Backup Error

I have been trying to back up my phone for a number of weeks now but keep getting error messages.

Can anone help me?  It's doing my head in.

I've restarted my phone and restarted the back up process, but keep getting this message.

I purchased an SD card as I got sick of being told that "Storage space is running out.  Some system functions may not work."  I inserted said card with the aim to transfer data from the phone to the SD card.  Simple, right?  No.  Instead I get an error message saying "Transfer interrupted.  Check your SD card for possibly transferred data."  Exactly what does this mean?  It's a brand spanking new card!

I'm not very tech savvy and it's doing my head in.  I can't even back up my phone using PC companion as it keeps corrupting and says backup cannot be completed for some reason.

Can someone please tell me the easiest way to transfer all my photos from the phone to the SD card, as they take up the bulk of my memory.  Also when I go to view Storage, under the Misc tab, there's 4.06GB of stuff I don't know if I can get rid of.

Please help before I smash this phone and go back to iPhone, which I could do what I wanted to do with so much ease.

Connect your phone to a Pc then simply copy and paste the file to your SD then once you confirm they have indeed transferred then delete from internal storage - That's the safest and easiest way and is the only way I will do it

So if I transfer ALL the folders from the phone to the SD card, there'll be no issues?  Meaning the phone will still function normally?

No create folders on your SD like Music and Pictures and copy and paste your images from DCIM to Pictures and Music to Music etc leave the rest alone then once done you can delete the DCIM folder or the contents of it and the same for Music or MP3 leave Demo alone if you want to keep it working

Thanks...what about  the Misc stuff?

Also when I go to view Storage, under the Misc tab, there's 4.06GB of stuff I don't know if I can get rid of.

Not sure what Misc stuff is as that would vary from phone to phone
