backlight smart control

hi every one.my phone's backlight smart control doesnt work.i turned it on but even when im looking at the screen it turns off. can some body help me pls? thanks

Does the screen turn off or does the backlight auto control turn off automatically?

Hi.actually the screen turns off when im looking at it while the backlight control is always on.

that works on accelorometers and not by looking at it 

it detects if your holding it by the movement and keeps the light on so if you put it on the side it will turn off regardless if you look at it
