Background defocus app missing

Hello Everyone,

I am not sure if I am the only one having this problem, after upgrading to Kitkat 4.4.2 I cannot see the background defocus app as mentioned in other thread I can see it was added to Kitkat 4.4.2.

Please help if this is a issue or the camera app background defocus is not added at all.

That's odd

so you don't see the app when you tap on the plus sign when you open the camera > cameras ? 

if not you can try this

Just wanted to mention I cannot to see it neither to download from the phone directly
Weird Sony strategy... like music / video unlimited - they are giving it for some, and for some not... 

By this treatment they are separating people... 
Very very bad.

Sony is not the first nor the last nor the only company that has this, apps and services regional restrictions, there's always an alternative

Strange. Well I've once used this function when I was on 4.2.2, downloaded it from the link uliwooly mentioned.
The app does not work like a charm. You have to keep clicking..keep adjusting the stability and distance of the camera and then you'll get your not so perfect defocused image.
I tried this app on recommendation, it definitely consumes some great time for editing the pic to perfection but is worth. I am on the Pro Ver. of this app. Do give it a try.

Well just last night my phone died yes yes it died the replacement handsent died, did a hard reset charged over night pressed the red buttom near sim slot as per customer care but no use and mayb be they will add defocus app in coming updates hope so. But right now I can't do anything until tomorrow to blast the sony service center and ask for a new handset.

Can anyone from  Sony elaborate about what is the cause to regional such an app like "Background defocus app" ?
What is the reason that it is not available in "somre regions" ?? 

It makes me curious and I am really interested in the answer.
