Back up & restore problem

I upgraded my firmware to 4.2 and did a factory reset and now I can not back up my data. It says the backed data is not competible with the new softwer. Please help, what schould I do, all my data is gone.

Backups made with Backup & restore in Android 4.1 are unfortunately not compatible with Android 4.2 and can't be restored.

The only solution i know of is to transfer the backup to another Xperia running 4.1 and restore it there so perhaps you could check with your dealer if they can assist you with this.
