Hi All,
So for the last year i have always backed up my phone throuhg Sony bridge for mac.
Yesterday i lost my phone and have been sent a replacement identical phone.
I have now been told by Sony that the backups i have been doing only can be put on to the old phone?!??!
Is there any way that i can get the old files on to the new phone?
Any help would be great!!!
Thanks, Nic
A backup is compatible to a device with the same firmware version.
ok - so what do i need to do?
the phones are exactly the same yet if i connect the phone thorugh sony bridge it says there are no back ups available?
Thanks,
What firmware do you have on your actual device and what firmware was there on the lost one?
the old phone was kept up to date so im going ot say the latest one and the new one is also up to date....
I dont have my last phone though to check for definate?
You could recover contacts as shown here:
/t5/Xperia-S-SL-acro-S/How-can-I-extract-contacts-from-dbk-file-on-my-computer/m-p/235921#M18676
About other stuff, you could rename the file to .rar or .zip and see what you can extract.
Thanks but im on a Mac and that seems to be for windows?
Thanks!
Sorry, out of ideas for MAC.Contact a staff member:
