back cover flaking

hi there, i am on my second back cover in 6 months due to the rubberised finish peeling off.

I have a black phone and i think this is the only colour that has this finish to the back cover.

i complained to SE on twitter a few months back who, as usual, told me i am the only person with this issue, yet the same has happened to my replacement cover.

anyone else got this issue?

Sorry to hear this.

How/where do you keep your phone? If you e.g. keep the phone in the same pocket as coins/keys or other sharp objects you will most likely get this eventually.

Thanks for the reply and obviously i would expect that to happen, but i have made a conscious effort to keep phone and keys apart.

This is my second back cover and is actually worse than the first cover i had.

Now for my second cover to be even worse than the one in the pitcures, yet have been delibarately separated from any other objects at all times is unacceptable. Do you not agree?

Hmm, I see.

I suggest you call the local support team and ask them about this. Maybe they can arrange for another cover to be sent to you (or inform you on how to get one). I see no other option here unfortunately.

There is a problem. I confirm too! ..flaking cover (air bubble of a few millimeters on surface) despite the careful use of my Ray for 2 months

I have the same problem on the black cover. I'll contact local support hope there will be a solution.

nice to see that i am not on my own with this issue

i contacted sony ericsson support about 2 months ago, they were useless, told me its wear and tear and to conatct my supplier, so i went to my supplier (carphone warehouse) and they told me to contact sony ericsson.

typical.

carphone and sony are happy to sell me a phone, yet just pass the buck when an issue arrises!!

this isnt the level of service that i have come to expect from sony

I have the exact same issue. I've had the phone about 2 months are just started noticing the cover is peeling around the edges. I keep the phone safe in an inside pocket of my bag away from everything. Not sure where to go with this issue?
