Aspen troubles

This anxiously awaited phone is disappointing me with its performance- it has refused to switch on! When i press the start button, the battery vibrates but thats all, the screen remains blank. This has happened for the 2nd time. The first time it refused to start the same way (the next day of purchasing it) and i got the phone replaced at the dealers immediately. This time i'm far away from any dealer and i need to sort this problem out urgently. Anyone experiencing the same troubles who can shed some light on whats going on and how to sort out the problem??

I suppose you simply wait after it vibrates (instead of keeping continuing to press the start button after vibration). It should start.

secondly, if the phone is already switched on, a slight nudge (two seconds max) on the start button would immediately light up the screen.

have tried that- doesn't work. first time it happened, dealer said it was a software problem and replaced the phone. I'm hoping a software update will sort it now. thanks,

Hi Murataza,

I am facing the same problem. Just a vibrate and that's it. I have bought the phone 1 week back from Chennai, India but now I am in South Africa. Do you think Sony Ericsson support my case here?
