APN settings for Mobile Data

Hi,i have been facing this problem since i purchased the phone..my phone will not connect to the GPRS/EDGE network...I am using vodafone and i have confirmed the settings with service provider. The strange thing is that the same settings work on my motorrola xoom tablet running honeycomb,but on my xperia it always shows disconnected.

go to settigns -> wireless & networks -> mobile networks -> network mode try them all

i have tried the same settings that work on my xoom,but it always says disconnected. Doesnt even say connecting. Is there a way to connect manually or any application to do it?

can you try a different SIM card?

alright its working now....the service was not activated on my account. worked with another sim.:smileygrin:
