today this new android version will be launch so we z1 owners should we worried or will android 5.0 Lollipop come to z1
Well, like i mentioned some other place, the z-series devices are not some cheap gadgets u pick up in your favorite supermarket. Id suspect if sony is interested in gaining a bigger marketshare with its devices, keeping custpmers happy and up-to-date with all the softwareressources and support that is possible, seems 2 b just as important, expectable and adviseable as investing in soccer-advertisement. The viral pover of satisfied customers myght be evan more powerfull.
Its a fragile layer sony is tapping on, if the thin icing of satisfaction should break 2 soon....well...i for sure will not consider bying sony devices again. Not at this pricing anyway...About 1000 euros, served with dissappointments {like the latest kitkat update withe all its flaws and the inacceptable battery drain issue, no matter if caused by sony itself or not} don't leave me in no place where i could advise anyone to by a sony tablet device. Esspcially not...if i will be forced to stick to this os version, with no way back or forth.....
if sony wants to continue 6 months flagship gap sony should hire atleast 10-15 software engineers for updates for the phone because they have released so many phones and so slow software updates look at htc they are providing updates every 90 days this is what sony lacks quick update and why release so many midrange, low end phones when sony cannot provide latest update for them
2 flagship 2 midrange 1 low end 1 phablet 1 tablet will be super and provided by latest software update
lets see what sony does i dont like the idea of 6 months new flagship plan
xperia z1 should get android L and get alot of its many features no need to add alot of bloatware just keep it stockish type and release it soon and most important thing z1 needs its the new camera api from stock google one with google algorithms the api is very powerful it can cure sony weakness low light performance
hope sony consider this and gove us good camera software in future
New camera API and RAW-style support
A new camera API means that on supported devices apps can capture uncompressed YUV capture at full 8 megapixel resolution at 30 FPS. It also allows the capture of raw sensor data and control parameters such as exposure time, ISO sensitivity, and frame duration, on a per-frame basis. The camera API also supports Digital Negative (DNG) image capture, bringing RAW-style support.
Anyone heard on news about the 4.4.5 update or higher?
