After updating to ICS i was facing huge battery drain caused by Display screen a week ago. After everyone suggestion i had repaired my phone with PC Companion & my battery drain suddenly came back to normal. But after 2 days battery problem starts again but this time it is due to Android OS.My Android Os is taking 82% battery which is again giving me battery backup of 3 hours with continuous use. What should i do? because i have already repaired my phone with PC Companion & there is no other option left? Please help me!
The screenshots taken by me during 12 hours standby are as follows:
Hi Varunrual, Just use the Mobile like Normal for couple of days and observe,Because, Android Takes some time settle down,Even though if the problem Still there, Then Kindly visit the Near by service centre and Get the phone Examined by Teachnician.
After waiting for 3 days i have again updated my phone with SUS which totally deleted all my apps & games but i saw even without a single apps installed on my phone it is still draining my battery like what it used to drain.Should i wait for another 3 days without installing apps?Because before this when i had updated my phone with PC Companion battery had improved alot but when i installed my apps & games the battery drain started again.I am really regretting buying this low powered battery phone.
hey varun get ur phone to the enarest service centre that the safest bet for u at the moment !! consuming 82 % is something which is just unexpected !! might be there might have been some hash files while downloading the data packet to the computer itself which has caused u this bug !! backup ur data and give it to the service centre for repairs !! hope u find my post useful !! dnt forget to mark as correct/helpful
How much time does it take to fully charge the sony xperia p? My phone charge within 40 minute now days.Is it responsible for fast battery drain?Because when i updated my phone for the first time after that it took almost 1 & half hour to charge my phone fully & battery last for more than 2 days easily.
It takes about 1:45 for charging from 3-4% (it can goes to 1% but if you draint it below 3% sudden auto-turn-off might appear) to 100%.
This kind of battery drain is not normal for stand-by.
Number of installed program doesn't add up much to battery drain, at least not in stan-by mode.
Main reasons for battery drain in stand-by is radio usage (GSM, WiFi) in combination with poor GSM signal (radio have to work with higher power, draining more battery), and account sinchronization (contacts, e-mail, facebook, tweeter...).
If you activate extended stand-by mode (in Settings-Power management) battery drain should be 2-3% overnight (stand-by intervals appear like almost horizontal line in battery graph).
This happened to me too. I kept the phone for full charge(100%), and then just let it idle(and I went to sleep). After almost 4 hours, the battery was down to 65% with Android OS taking 86% of it.
I also made an observation that this happened to me while I was in Roaming. I tried selecting the network manually, using GSM only, switching of 2G. And with that, I got the above observation.
Any idea Sony Support?
Yes it's probably the bug caused due to ICS update. It was my old screenshots & after repairing my phone with pc companion now my battery drain due to android os came down to 12% but display drain increases to 60%.So till now it don't have any solution.
The display drain of 60% is perfectly normal, the OS drain was the problem. You repaired your phone right?
