For months now my Xperia T has been draining the battery in about 6 hours.
I have to charge it all the time. I have tried a couple of SUS repairs, but that hasn't helped.
I tried not installing any updates, and it is still draining the battery.
I read one post that said to not log in to my google account, and see if the phone works properly after that, but haven't yet.
I see this is a common problem with android 4.1?
Thanks.
When i bought my Xperia T it had a cover that indicates that it will charge un about 30 mins but it takes at least 4 hours to full charge. I have only a week with the smartphone. What is the real time to full charge the phone?
can you post the picture of that cover? are you using the wall charger?
is Sony spying on users in this forum?

I just got a Sony Xperia T from Bell in Canada. I, too, and having battery drain issues. My phone is using the mediaserver as a source of the battery drain as well. I've been googling everything I can about the phone and the mediaserver problem, and a couple of posts indicate to scatter a NOMEDIA file around the phone so that when the mediaserver applet runs it skips that folder.
I get maybe 6 to 8 hours on the phone with very little usage.
What the OP is saying that when he received the phone, there is a sticker on the screen that states to charge the phone at least 30 minutes before powering it on and provisioning it. My phone came with this sticker too. I plugged it into the official sony wall charger and charged it up before calling Bell and swapping out my blackberry.
Now, it takes about 3 hours to charge fully from 0% with the phone off. I have been cycling the battery trying to get it to last longer, but it's still very bad. My older HTC EVO 3D running mostly the same apps has no problem lasting 18 hours.
Can someone from Sony validate the NOMEDIA file issue so that I can get this mediaserver applet to shut off and stay off? There must be something to it, because I've found some NOMEDIA files on my phone already. One in the DEMOMEDIA folder, and another one in the Computer\Xperia T\Internal Storage\Pictures\cache\com.google.android.googlephotos folder.
Thanks.
This is the picture of the cover the number tu it's suposse to mean the phone will charge in about 30 mins doesn't it? I'm using the original wall charger that came with teh phone
It means to charge up the phone for 30 minutes before the initial power on so that when you turn it on it has enough battery power to completely boot up and g othrough the setup portion.
My phone takes about 3 hours to fully charge from 0% using the sony included charger.
Really? pff then it takes a lot to charge... my old xperia play only takes an hour to get to 80% of battery
Well I haven't sat and watched it, but in about 3 hours the charging light is green.
if you charge your phone with a computer it will take a lot, if you use the wall charger it shouldn't take multiple hours
Mine in two hours is fully charged from 0%, and I never turn off the phone.
BTW. the picture clearly show the first steps for using the phone, 1. insert SIM 2. charge 30 min 3. push the turn ON button for 3 sec.
Remain the question how many mAH is your charger? Because the charging time depending of that number, of course.
