Ever since upgrading to 5.0.2 and later, when turning on my (now replaced) Z3 it would show the Sony logo, the encryption/lock annimation, ask for my encryption pattern, get to the wavey boot annimation screen then restart. After the restart it would go through the same process but after inputting my encryption pattern I'd come accross the 'Android is upgrading/starting' screens. Meaning it would take around 10 minutes to just turn on my phone.
I thought it was just a problem that would be fixed with a reset. However, when my device was broken (and thankfully insured) I was given a completely new one by my carrier which after a few days came accross the exact same problem and has been doing it for over a month now. As far as I can tell it only happens after I turn on encryption but that might not be the cause at all.
Anyone having the same problem or have any tips for how to fix this?
Thanks!
No apps on the SD on my current phone but I recall having moved a few to the SD on my old one.
Repair the phone with PCC and report back
