Android Beam (Files Sharing with Samsung)

I have a friend who is using Samsung Galaxy S3 and when both of us want to share photos or audios with each other, we turned on out Android Beam and when we touched our phones back to back, it just redirects my phone to play store. Is it possible to transfer files between Sony smartphones with other phones like Samsung?? Or this problem is caused by the Sony's self-developed 'Album' and 'Walkman' which are not compatible with other smartphones? Besides those, I can share links on Browser and also Maps.

it works fine with my S and TL with the S3, try a different album app (i use the default album app) Quickpic is a great option

my xperia S oso facing this kind of problem...i beam with S3,,,, when beam photo or video, it will redirects to playstore, is there any way to fix this problem?

by the way my android version is 4.0.4, build number is 6.1.A.2.45

Isn't it because of S3 is using Jelly Bean and we're still on ICS?

today i tried this with 2 other friends who are using S3, this problem is still occuring so i just don't understand why uliwooly said his Xperia S works with S3....

total embarrassed when beam with friend with s3 but redirect to playstore.... all my friend laugh me buy the wrong phone, why not just wait for s3 ....sigh
