you can upgrage it to kitkat anoffcially
Just wondering if it's likely that Xperia E will get KitKat - I am so fed up with the storage limitations on the phone memory. I have just done a clean install as I couldn't connect to the Play Store any longer and even clean it failed to update all the apps that Sony/Google impose on us even without installing any additional apps.
I understand that the E1 now has KitKat - and even this is now an old OS - the Motorolas get Android 5 and I'm seriously thinking of giving up on my E and jumping the Sony ship - this is my 4th Sony, only mobiles I've ever owned but I'm sick of trying to update, clear caches, clear data - even with 50Mb free it still own't update a 2Mb app like Google Talkback. And Facebook is a data nightmare... and I don't even use it! Rant over.
Latest & final version
Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean)
2013-04
So there will be no more updates
Hello,
I have an Xperia E phone (C1505) and it's running version 4.1.1 of android operating system. For work purpose I need to install an application, and that application requires android 4.4.
My phone says no updates available. Also no updates when using Sony PC Companion. I believe android is at version 6 at the moment.
My questions:
1. Is it possible to run android version 4.4 (or higher?) on my phone?
2. If possible, how do I perform this update?
Kind regards,
Vincent
unfortunately, Xperia E was not upgraded to Android 4.4., there is only one way to upgrade your device and it involves using customzied software, you can find more information about this at XDA forums.
