I think our sony xperia e can handle android 4.3
It's sad to learn that Sony is about to drop its support for Xperia E. I bought the phone not just for its price tag, but also for its moderate form factor and its Jelly Bean OS. I hope there will be a few more people who had bought the phone also for its pocket friendly size that enables operation, for the most part, with a single hand. Sony is about to release a mini form of Z which has only slightly larger dimensions than the Xperia E. I don't think there is any real need for an E1 with a 4.3, they could have simply updated the E's firmware to 4.3 for everybody. It is nothing more than a market gimmick. But who cares? It would have been perfect if Sony supported the E just up to 4.4 and then dropped it, no one would complain then.
If you just know how to handle the E, you wouldn't really feel as discontented as many buyers have complained in this forum.
Anyway, is there anyone who has tried a custom ROM on E?
Somebody must ring a bell at Sony that the phone still has some months left as described on Android Support lifecycle.
Maybe this will throw some hope for us Xperia E users. http://www.gsmarena.com/xperia_android_update_schedule_surfaces_through_leaked_image-news-7014.php Found this while doing some research. I know Xperia E Single Sim says nothing about update (it doesn't deny it either) but allegedly the Dual Sim version will have the 4.3 update. I asume it can be flashed to single Sim too. I had flashed the ICS rom from the Dual to my Single and it worked realy good (had a minor annoying bug in wich I had to select my service provider when I started my phone, but it wasn't so bad, everything else worked good)
