Hi guys!
For a little while now, i have big issues with the battery of my Sony V.
I already tried the system repair with the PC Companion, installed zero apps, but android OS is still on top of the battery drainers...
My statistics at the moment are:
82% battery remaining, 1h 19m and 19s running.
Android OS: 83%
Display: 10%
Android System 4%
Standby: 2%
So, i googled already and heard something about wakelocks... So i tried the app "Wakelock detector" to see if this app can show me the problem... and now, i see there is a huge problem, but i cant go very well in depth with this app... Wakelock detector shows me that:
80% of the time the phone is awake
Android System: 355x
-ActitvityManager-Launch: x55
-AlarmManager: x259 !!!!!
-show keyguard x14
-ActivityManager-sleep: x18
-keyguardWakeAndHandOff: x20
-network stats: x9
AND
Phone: x509
-RILJ: x502
AlarmManager: x7
So, i would be glad if anyone can help me... Could this be a hardware problem?
Thanks for your answers!
Hi and welcome to the community! Since you're new please be sure that you have checked out our Discussion guidelines.
As i understand it, AlarmManager is used by other apps to keep the phone awake so the cause is not AlarmManager itself but something that's using it.
I would recommend that you first try your phone in safe mode to see if it's caused by an app that you have downloaded. In safe mode the phone will not load any 3:rd party apps.
hi!
i tried it now, charged the phone fully, but same happens again. After 1 hour, 10% battery missing and android os is highest drainer with 90%..
Any solution?
That was in safe mode?
What happens if you set your phone to GSM only under Settings -> More -> Mobile networks -> Network mode?
Same! Again, charged full, left 1 hour, 91%, Android OS 92% Battery Drain
Update: seems like it has been a little bit better atm. 3h same 91%.
I will do a update tomorrow morning again.
But my question: how can the WCDMA be a problem?
Safe Mode, GSM only seems to make it... 16 hours 83% left...
Whats the problem now, cause GSM is really slow internet^^
I recommend that you contact your operator to see if they are aware of any network issues in your area and if fast dormancy is currently supported.
Hey! I asked my operator, but still waiting for an answer...
BUT
i thought: Heeey, it seems like the problem is found, lets start in normal mode, install all my "normal" apps, shouldnt be a problem... but now everything is the same as before... 43 minutes, 92% battery, Android OS 82%...
I mean, yeah... that google play- problem is known, so this 100 wakeloks doesnt surprise me... but the RILJ of "Phone" has again 120 Wakeloks in this time with "GSM only"...
I really dont know what to do...
If your operator doesn't have any network issue in your area and this also happens in GSM only i recommend that you test your phone with another SIM card and see if the issue remains.
