Album and Movie apps on Xperia Z do not work

I recently updated the app Movies 8.0.A.0.6 on my Xperia Z but I cannot seem to play any of my videos (movies especially) on it. As a result, I went to Settings to uninstall the updates for the Movie app and re-updated it. Unfortunately, it still does not work. Furthermore, the Album app version 6.6.A.0.6 malfunctions when I delete my photos individually but seems to work fine when I delete my photos as a group. May you please help me solve this problem? Access the settings menu, Apps, All, Album, Clear data, now repeat this with the Movie app, then restart your phone
