Hi
Is there any flash player for Xperia X10.
Thanks
none at the moment. flash player requires android 2.2
http://www.adobe.com/products/flashplayer/systemreqs/
so we gotta wait for the next update
Download Skyfire web browser, it uses HTML5 so will play most flash video files
"It was a well understood myth that only Android 2.2 Froyo was capable enough to handle Flash 10.1. But now as the story unfolds, you can install Flash 10.1 onto your Android 2.1 Eclair powered handsets without any issues. The absence of a JIT compiler and other Froyo goodies might cause some performance issues, but in the end you will be able to surf Flash enabled websites without any problems." Taken from this link: http://www.addictivetips.com/mobile/how-to-install-flash-10-1-on-android-2-1-eclair-devices/ It contains a step-by-step guide to get it installed on your Xperia X10.
Haven't done it though, I'd rather get Android 2.2 Froyo.
if only you'd kept reading a little bit further :smileymischief:
it's slightly more complex for us X10 users
further down the page you would have found this link
which goes into great lengths as to how to install Flash on an X10
As said earlier in the thread, the skyfire browser is the easiest/safest way
Thanks for reply
I did install this but open of flas is disabled and still I cant open any flash website
Regards
Farhad
I am going to try this
and let you know
Thanks
Yeah, it's not very practical; That's why I wouldn't do it and rather wait for an Android 2.2 Froyo update. That link was just for additional info. I guess you're right ak3dgfx, your way might work too, but as I said, I'd rather wait for Android 2.2 to get the best performance results
I hope they deliver it soon, I really need it!
Totally agree. If SE are going to abandon us and not update our OS surely something can be done about the lack of flash player on the browser?
