     i just checked my ram..

162 Mb used.. 137 mb free..

total = 299 mb

internal storage

164 Mb used.. 216 mb free

total = 380 mb

I have both the X10 and the Arc

my "available" ram is 317, as I state before, it varies from phone to phone, reason can be different firmware, different rom, difference update, etc.

The value I mentioned earlier was from my Arc

You are absolutely right, the total RAM is 512 but the available ram (512 minus the Android OS usage) varies depending on what is put on your phone regionally and by your carrier.  There are many other threads about this subject, you can link to them on the more like this tab at the right hand side of the page.  Jeff (SE Answers Team) confirmed this after much discussion and confusion when the phones were first announced.

Well, there is one App in the market - "Mini Info" who show RAM used and/or avaible - and also CPU, Memorycard info and other information. It also has a small widget witch you can arrange after your own taste.

There are various different apps that will report these kinds of information.

I use the ASI app and also has a widget for it.  Also free from the AM.
