Actual RAM..!!

     i just checked my ram..

162 Mb used.. 137 mb free..

total = 299 mb

internal storage

164 Mb used.. 216 mb free

total = 380 mb

now according to this

Internal phone storage: 1GB (up to 320MB free)

RAM: 512MB..

Are you trying to say that the actual RAM that the system reports does not add up to 512MB?

On my phone Internal Storage is also reported as 380MB

The RAM  335MB. So where's the other 177MB in my case?

yup..mine is only 299mb against your 355

can u tell me ur distribution of ram..i mean the used and free ??

It varies all the time but currently have around 47MB free being reported

yes it also baffles me. Unless depending where you buy the phone, it has slightly different hardware specs.

What Sony listed is correct, and what your phone shown is also correct.

What sony shown are the actual DEFAULT amount of memory and ram, but when you look at your phone it shown different because some of its memory/ram are being use to system apps/script,etc. and this "amount" is varies between phone.

Example: it has 1gb memory, which is default.....but then they install Android OS and its apps, thus on your phone the actual amount is less'n, and the same applies for ram.

That's what I also thought but the system does not seem to display how much RAM is being used by the OS. Probably have to work it out indirectly

ok i understand..but how come apc user's phone showing 355 mb and mine only 299..

hey apc user do u have an arc or a x10 ??

and if any 1 who has an arc plz check and let me know..
