Found the Xperia S update to Android 4.0.4 after, when I insert the SIM card and through the wizard to help configure the phone's found the time and date of the mobile terminal can be automatically updated according to the network over. But I have to manually adjust the time zone as GMT +9 time zone, when I checked the "automatically determines the time zone option, time zone, why can not correct the correct time zone where I, the wrong time zone? I would like to know the the sonyericsson the next Sonymobile and before the secondary development of the Android system is based on what protocol automatically uses the network operator's time and time zone?
I am not totally following you sorry. However if you have the phone set to pull the time/date from the network and you are getting the wrong information you would need to speak directly with your network provider as this is where the incorrect data is coming from.

Hi, I have a doubt it's related to network provider. We have 5 android mobiles and 2 iPhones at home. Yesterday, it was the day of moving from +3 to +2 zone. All mobiles switched the time and zone except Sony Xperia S, even the option "automatically select time zone" is selected. We had to remove the selection, change time zone to +2 and then select the option again.
Any justification?
I do have the same issue, when I select the automatic time zone, in Mexico daylight saving time expired and apparently there are no time zone for Mexico that substract 1 hour to daylight saving time zone.
What to do since the clock is constantly changing to and from the correct time zone.:smileyworried:
You could via Settings - Date and Time untick the top two options which are Automatic Date and Time and Automatic Time Zone,
Once unticked other options become available a little further down the same screen, These will allow you to manually set the Date and Time and Time Zone
Hi,
I have a similar issue.
Here are some details:
I'm using Sony Xperia Z3 compact with a Russian SIM card. When I traveled to Kazakhstan the time zone wasn't defined automatically.
Meanwhile it works fine for the Android based phone, so I'm not sure this is related to the network operator.
Any advice would be much appreciated.
Thanks!
