Hey guys still saving money for a new phone but in the meantime i would like to ask you for a bit help cause remember reading here on the forum about an older version of viber that is not causing ringtone lag etc. ( tried searching but can't find it ) i must use viber for contacting ofshore clients for my work but when the latest version is installed the moment i make a phone call or send a message via viber the phone lags the ringone lags and when answering a call lags, but when i uninstall viber bam it's back to normal no lag or something also an older version of skype whoud be nice or maybe i've got this all wrong
curently i'm planning to downgrade my xperia p to ics because i can't stand the call lag bug and the decreased battery life, but i wonder which firmware should i install which is the least buggy one i mean the one before the fw with the camera flash bug ? my phone SI is 1261-9633.7 and it's not a branded phone ( T-mobile, vip, etc )
i've downloaded lt22i_6.1.B.0.544_Central Europe will this do the trick or i need another one ? pls rep fast cuz i'm gonna throw the phone through the window
p.s. what is this thing emma could someone pls give me the original sony flashtool not this thing....
I guess, first of all, have you tried repairing with pcc or SUS? Factory Reset? I did those back when I updated to Jelly Bean and didn´t have any call lag and battery life was ok. But if you already made up your mind, I suggest the 6.1.1.B.1.75 firmware, the last one with ICS. Use flashtool: http://www.flashtool.net/download.php.
hey thanks for the replay, yes i did that the repair and the factory reset and after repairing again reset i've tried everything that;s why i want to downgrad because i need a working phone and i can't afford a new phone in the next few months so i'll have to fix the XP will search now for that fw, but can you please tell me what is the difference when i see a fw with something like central europe, generic world etc ?
p.s. do i need to unlock the bootloader to flash it with the ics firmware ?
No, you don't need to unlock the bootloader for that, you only do that when you need to flash a custom kernel.
Also, you can try to install a custom ROM based on Jelly Bean, I recently installed the Hoonami Moonwalker V6 and it's working great for me.
