Hello,
I'm wondering why I can't update my phone (xperia Z) to the 4.2.2 update. I tried to check for the update via phone update app, pc companion and the update service. They all say that my phone is up to date. I know the update has to be approved for countries and carriers.
Here's the problem. My friend has the same phone, same carrier and he was abble to update his phone a few days ago.
You have to wait for the update to be approved and released in your country, if your phone is or was locked to a carrier/network branded, then you have to wait for them, the network, to approved and release the update

You may already have the latest software, depending on the date of purchase. Software updates are released at different times depending on operator and/or country. Therefore, we cannot give you an exact date for when a specific update will be available for your device.
Android version: Google Android 4.2 (Jelly Bean)
Latest available software: 10.3.1.A.2.67
Release started: 2013-09-23
