3rd party app for simple tasks

Man I'm fed up installing 3rd party apps for Simple tasks. 3rd party app for camera because the stock one is crap and 3rd party app for music because of the clear bass problem with walkman app and again 3rd party app for videos because the preloaded one doesn't have a full screen button and I've to turn the auto rotate function to make it full screen which drains more battery. Come on Sony do something right.

Nowadays Sony is breaking more things than fixing. Just hoping 4.3 update will fix these issues.

Even I hope that most of the problems (which need urgent attention) will be sorted out with 4.3.

But don't rely too much from 4.3 update.I'm only expecting an upgrading from Sony rather than fixing.

Well... I respecfully disagree with you here...

The camera of our Xperias is one of the best in terms of UI I have seen... (with the exception of Panoramic pictures)

The Walkman app is hands down the best Stock music player in Android (not counting 3rd Party such as PowerAmp)... definitely better than Samsung, LG and Motorola's music players... it is simple yet gorgeous... it has a nice array of features and the extensions is the cherry on top (3rd party Lyrics Extension)

The Movie app is the only thing I partially agree with you... mostly because the lack of SUBTITLE support which is really crazy to think it does not include said function, but Screen Mirroring to TV has an option to "display" subtitles if the video app allow it... but surely it wont... and also because of lack of file format support...

The best Video App on the market for me is MX Player... fill with options and features... the only dissapointment is that Sony's Movie App looks way better and present your movies and TV shows with information (if you wish)

Remember that Sony UI skin is really simple and minimalistic, completely opposite to Touchwiz which can be overwhealming with too many features that sometimes feel bloated and unnecessary...

for example I always praised the Multi-Window mode in Galaxy devices when it came out... but I have found that Sony's Small Apps can be as effective or sometimes even more useful than Multi-Window... specially with 3rd Party Small apps such as Web Small, Flashlight, Musicmall, Screen Rotate, Contact... It really ups multitasking and gives you Toggles that we did not have before instead of widgets (screen rotate, flashlights)

Positive thinker Grinning_Face I do agree with you.Sony did the best.Really hope 4.3 update will fix the black display after pressing power button.Thats the main and ONLY distraction for me.

@dquilon you mentioned some good points. I know my post is not descriptive enough but here's what I'm talking about
In terms of ui camera app is great but I'm talking about picture quality. Pictures are noisy and superior auto mode not works as intended.
Again with the walkman app I agree it's the best looking music player but When I increase clear bass value the volume falls down in louder parts of any song and again increases which is annoying.
About the movie app you've already said everything.
I'm also using mx player but I'd like to use movie app which looks way cooler than mx player.
In terms of looks Sony wins hands down but if they remove the bugs and add some more functionality we don't have to rely on 3rd party apps.
I'm also Waiting for 4.3 update to fix some issues.
