I have purchased Xperia L n i have a Tata Docomo 3G sim but my phone doesnt connect to the internet but is very gud at wifi.I wish to ask that how can i eliminate this internet issue.Also its showing a R sign on signal strength what does that mean.
yes its for sure this phone is very good but these issues make it a frustating one!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! hope to get a solution soon.
Sony Experts? Any reply from you? I am not someone who is new to smart phones. I am small time blogger on mobiles who knows a good enouiigh information about mobiles. This connectvity issue is a serious problem. Let me know if I have to go for replacement? I have tried all normal trouble shooting methods...Awaiting your reply.

I am using a Docomo SIM (3G). I collected my new SIM two days back and it flawlessly with Samsung Galaxy S Advance. When I use the same SIM in my brand new Xperia L, it first of all shows that I am roaming. But I am not. I am very much in my home network!. Apart from this, the phone does not connect to 3G or 2G data properly. It connects and goes off within few minutes and never comes back till I go to internet settings and select the network even though my settings for network is in auto mode. Even after selecting the data connection stays for a few minutes and vanishes again. It doesnt come back till I repeat the same procedure. While testing this I was not moving, I was in one single location. Samsung Advance stays connected with the same SIM and same place, flawlessly all the time. What do you think is the problem. Settings: It is in WCDMA Preferred/GSM mode. I have tried the other two options as well which is WCDMA alone and GSM alone. Same frustrating results. What do you think is the problem? This is a phone meant for India and being used in Bangalore.
