3g internet issue in Xperia l

I have purchased Xperia L n i have a Tata Docomo 3G sim but my phone doesnt connect to the internet but is very gud at wifi.I wish to ask that how can i eliminate this internet issue.Also its showing a R sign on signal strength what does that mean.

Makes sense, but the trigger in this thread shows "Assumed Answered". So, I was forced to create a new thread. Waiting for a solution desperately.

hi guys,

same here..

i too have R symbol in the top of the phone & internet is disconnecting continuosly.

to say clearly, a single page will open & disconnects itself for a long time.

need help from sony guys i think so..

Can you  also say which service provider SIM do you use? Do you face the same problem with 2G and 3G?

To be precise, mine is connected to internet on an average of 1 hour in a day. Rest of the times it is out of connectivity. Wheras the same SIM is connected all the time to 3G network in my old horse "Samsung GaLaxy S Advance". Right now, my new Xperia L is sleeping in the box while SGSA is running like a champion :smileyhappy:.

am facing this problem with 2g tata docomo dude.

similar to u , it was working awesome in my old samsung s duos, even i was able to play youtube videos without buffering. took xperia l 3 days ago.. thinking like i have wasted a lot of money on this shitt..

still i have some more issues like camera clarity, photos coming like shaken while taking snap.

youtube videos are playing without clarity i mean some crispy look.

album photos are not visible, it shows a blank/black screen.

Hope sony helper response on this soon with a solution.

Surprisingly, all three of us who reported data issue have Docomo. But the same Docomo works fine in my Samsung mobile. Strange.

but the problem is , docomo ppl say that there is no problem from their side.

please check your settings, swithc off & on.. Smiling_Face_with_open_mouth_&_closed_Eyes thats it..

dont know whose problem but just to suffer we paid 18k.:smileyconfused:

It is certainly not a problem with Docomo. I am using the same SIM with Samsung rightnow. No issues. I am always connected to data. And it is a new SIM. Took it just two days ago. So, I can be sure it is not an issue with Docomo or the SIM.

HI I m facing this problem with Tata Docomo 3G sim.I earlier used Sony Ericsson Xperia  neo V but faced such an issue in that set.i called sony people but they say its network issue n then i contacted docomo people they say everythin is fine from here.I dont know what to do more.Also i have tried software update but no use..................... sony guys pls provide with a solution.

Oh okay....I dont think it is a SIM issue. It is something to do with the phone. I guess, the phones we have is from a set that has an issue. If Sony is going to say, that the problem is with SIM, how are they going to explain "ROAMING" in Home network?!?
