3g connection problems

My 3G is not working properly. The internet and apps keep losing the conmection. Google play store wont load up, facebook no connection, ganes check your internet connection and i have to keep turning my data on and off to reset my internet. I have 4 bar signal and the letter H+ and nothing works properly. When im in a weak signal area my phone connexts to the 2g network letter E appears and everything works fine. I have phoned virgin mobile and they dont have any answers. I have 2 sony xperia Z1 phones and it is the same problem on both phones. Can anyone help

My Xperia Z1 is doing the same; I can't make phone calls, or send texts. It has been doing it for mabe two weeks and I've tried 2 different phone companies and both are the same. Follwing this to see if it gets resolved.

same here i updated my phone then the E or H or 3G dont even show up
