Hi! I have 3 issues with my transparent bar, can someone please help?
- the "Menu" button (far right) is not working on the home screens (but works with the android applications)
- the 3 lights under the 3 buttons of the bar are barely shining in the dark (thus invisible in daylight)
- there is like an air bubble in the corner of the bar
Is there anything I can solve myself (or anything considered normal)? Or can the warranty do something?
Please help me
Thanks, Catherine
That seems to be a hardware issue, if so, you should take it to a Sony repair center

You could repair your phone with SUS or PCC, i don't think it will solve the problem but it will help narrow down the issue

thanks. So none of these issues are "normal" then?
The problem is that I bought my phone in a retail store, not a Sony center. So I am afraid that they won't agree to fix it (even if phone is still under warranty)
Just contact Sony directly
I apologise if I have misunderstood your 1st problem but the right button on the transparent bar has no function on the home screen. So if it works in apps I believe that it is working as intended.
Not sure if the brightness is an issue either as this is subjective - I can see mine OK inside but obviously not outside in sunlight. It doesn't really bother me though because I can clearly see the printed icons in bright light.
As for a bubble in the strip, not sure if Sony would consider that a defect.
I bought mine from a retail store and returned it for an issue it had and even though they didn't fix it they didn't charge me so it must have been under warranty. They will check to see that they have a record of the transaction or that they have a record of selling it to the retailer AFAIK.
Oh well, so this Menu button is not a defect. Thanks for your answer then 🙂
I sent is back yesterday morning to my retailer so I guess they won't find anything wrong with the phone. I'll just wait for it to come back (and I hope they won't charge me with the 50€ they ask you if they think that you sent the phone for no good reason 😕 )
Let us know how it goes
