2G/3G networks keep dropping

Hi

Just got the Xperia Z, and am having problems with the network signal.  When I search for networks, and select one (2G or 3G vodafone) it says it is registering with the network, and things seem OK.  But then after a few minutes it says the network is not available and I have to go through the process again.  Very annoying!  Any suggestions on how to fix this?

I would suggest that you enter the APN settings manually

settings > more > mobile networks > access point names > menu > add New > enter the info > menu > save

do you have a "micro" sim card or did you trimmed a regular sim card? if the later then get a brand new sim card

do you have any antivirus, taskillers, ram apps, battery apps? if you do then uninstall them > restart your phone

Thanks for responding. It seemed to sort itself out, so maybe it was just a problem with the patchy signal in this area.

most of the time that's the issue either a faulty or old SIM card or network coverage
