1 second delay between audio and video when playing through bluetooth speakers

My xperia XZ, my Z4 tablet and my Z2 devices are suffering of an annoying sound delay when are playing videos specially youtube and online streamings over bluetooth speakers (UE megaboom, JBL and my car audio bluetooth). Remember had this matter when first lollipop sony update was released, but sony ppl fixed it in the next update, so i have the hope this is going to be so easy...

When i stream videos through an external video player app (mx player, kodi, etc) that has audio delay controlls i have measured the gap between 0.8 and 1 second.

Am i the only customer experiencing this issue?

I think all this issues appeared after MM update... I could go back to LL on my z2 even my tab z4 and try to fix this but this would be impossible on my xz...

P.D. Edited after read viridis answer.

A delay on some files or streams is to be expected with some apps which is why they have these delay controls.
I have a xiaomi mi box with kodi and my player and have had to adjust the audio delay by 800ms before just to be watchable.
Test the audio delay through YouTube and video player with a short file that you know Is in perfect sync and see if same results. Also try these in safe mode.

  • Ok thanks for the tip :smileysmileythumbsup:

The issue is still there. The phone has a noticeable audio/video delay when playing any kind of videos through bluetooth speakers.

I have ckecked playing the same video with my earphones and there is no delay at all... Once i switch to bluetooth theres the 1 second gap again... Question

I think is audio postprocessing issue... Fingers crossed to see this issue fixed in next updates.
